The magic of Hollywood will come to Millennium Square this summer for a series of exciting big screen blockbuster film screenings.Leeds City Council has teamed up with Leeds Film and Sneaky Experience for the new outdoor cinema experience which will be set in a specially created, fully seated auditorium and will see screenings of Grease, Avengers Assemble, Skyfall and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The Film House on the Square will begin with legendary musical Grease on July 27, when visitors will have a chance to travel back to Rydell High and sing along with Danny and Sandy.
As well as grabbing an American style burger and ‘shake, guests can get a photo taken in the photobooth and ride fairground attractions.
Gates for the event open at 6.30pm, with the film starting at 7.30pm
Tickets, are priced at £10 for adults and £8 concessions.
Superhero spectacular Avengers Assemble will hit the big screen on July 28, with the chance to interact with some of the costumed characters before watching Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye in action.
Movie-lovers are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite characters, with prizes for the best costume.
Gates open at 1pm, with the film starting at 2pm.
Tickets cost £6 for adults and £5 for children (12 and under) and concessions.
James Bond fans can also join the gentleman spy that evening for a showing of Skyfall, which will include cocktails, a mobile casino and an appearance by an iconic Aston Martin.

Finally on Friday, July 29, sci-fi fans can travel to a galaxy far, far away when the biggest blockbuster of the year gets two showings.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which broke a string of box office records, will get a matinee and evening screening, with guests at both showings getting the chance to come dressed up and have their photo taken with Stormtroopers and other iconic characters from the films.
Gates for the matinee open at 1pm, with the film starting at 2pm. Tickets are priced at £6 for adults, £5 for children (12 and under) and concessions.

Councillor Judith Blake, Leader of Leeds City Council said:
“Millennium Square is a superb venue for events like this which bring the public together for a shared experience and I’m sure there will be a fantastic atmosphere at these film screenings.
“Films are also a key part of people’s cultural identity and putting them on the big screen is another example of us putting culture and the arts right at the heart of life in Leeds.
“It has always been our ambition for the square to be a place for the people of Leeds to enjoy and the varied programme of events we are holding this summer really does offer something for everyone.”

Sneaky Experience will also be hosting a series of morning interactive workshops for younger children (aimed at 6 and under) to tie in with the film screenings including a mini-superheroes, interactive superhero experience and a space Kids – interactive space themed experience
