Local councillors and sponsors met Middleton Park FC players despite the freezing wet conditions.

Children from aged 18 months to Adult players all turned out to say thank you to all the local businesses that have shown them the support over the past year through several hard spells, including a recent break in where the club lost over £3,000 worth of equipment. The club now has over 200 members and boasts some of the best pitches in Leeds thanks to the development at Middleton Leisure Centre that was spearheaded by local Labour councillors, Judith Blake, Kim Groves and Paul Truswell.

Wayne Dixon, Club Secretary said; “We would like to thank UK Car Parking Services (UKCPS), McDonalds (Hunslet), ASDA Middleton and our Local Councillors for taking the time out to visit us on Saturday. We would also like to thank our Sponsors who couldn’t make it, Clear Choice cleaning contracts, Reid Services, Regency Plumbing, George Morgan design & build, BEST Clothing (Trinity Centre) and EDI Solutions. Thanks to all the local businesses that supported our club. “We are always looking for businesses to support the club financially as the club has a £50,000 a year expenditure bill, these businesses have been very generous and hopefully they will continue to support us and encourage more businesses to join them”. The Club is now looking for sponsors and players for several teams” Wayne can be contacted on 07852311717 or email info@middletonparkfc.co.uk to get involved.
