CURTIS T JOHNS SUPPORTING BONE CANCER RESEARCH TRUST

Charity

Curtis T Johns, winner of BBC One’s “Let It Shine” and star of Gary Barlow’s “The Band Musical” took time out of his busy schedule to perform songs from his debut album for the Bone Cancer Research Trust, a charity based in Leeds close to his heart. Having lost his grandfather to bone cancer before he was able to see his success on the show, Curtis supports this fantastic charity when he can.

He arrived to find many of his fans had made the trip early to see him and as usual the Leeds Lad known for his “feet on the ground” approach didn’t disappoint! Hundreds of fans watched as Curtis delivered not just his huge vocal at the Victoria Gate but an important message that the work to beat cancer is not yet done and we all must pull together to find a cure. The staff from the Victoria Gate and volunteers from The Bone Cancer Research Trust worked tirelessly to put the show on. It is safe to say that a good time was had by all and some important funds were raised! Curtis’ new EP “Fears” which tackles mental health amongst other issues is available on Spotify and iTunes from 8th September.
