Astonish Deliver Tidy Sum To NHS Charities Together

Charity

Driven by a genuine desire to say ‘thank you’ to healthcare, social care and community workers throughout the UK, Astonish, the family-owned manufacturer of cleaning products [based in Bradford], has donated £100,000 to NHS Charities Together.

The funds raised are from profits generated by a limited edition, lock-down inspired, antibacterial spray. It was specially designed by an Astonish fan from Liverpool and carried a rainbow design alongside the phrase ‘Spread Love Not Germs’.

Managing Director of Astonish, Howard Moss, comments: “We are exceptionally proud to have achieved our goal of raising much-needed funds for NHS Charities Together in support of their heroic staff across the UK.”

“In just four weeks, we turned a simple design competition into a fundraising drive. Producing and selling 250,000 bottles during this time was no easy task, but thanks to our retail partners and the amazing Astonish fans we did it and our reward is handing over the funds to a fantastic cause.”

“Ultimately, this contribution is our way of saying thank you.”

Chief Executive of NHS Charities Together, Ellie Orton comments: “We have been overwhelmed by the ways businesses have been fundraising. A massive thank you to Astonish for raising such an incredible amount. This donation will help NHS charities across the UK to support hospitals, community healthcare and social care with the ongoing and longer term effects that Covid-19 has had on our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.”

The limited edition Antibacterial Surface Cleanser was made available nationwide, thanks to the support of retail partners including Asda, Wilko, B&M, Savers & The Range.

Astonish is a second-generation family-run business. Recognised as offering great value, quality products that deliver results, the Bradford based business employs more than 85 team members and produces more than 250,000 products every day.
