Harron Homes Announces New Beaumont Meadows Development in Netherton

A new collection of homes is coming soon to Netherton, Huddersfield, as Harron Homes prepares to launch Beaumont Meadows, bringing over £325,000 of investment in local education, transport and open space. Set on an 8.68-acre site off Roslyn Avenue, Beaumont Meadows will offer a selection of one-, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes, combining countryside surroundings with easy access to Huddersfield and everyday village amenities. The development will feature a large public open space and an equipped play area, with a green corridor linking into existing countryside footpaths and providing a natural route towards the ancient woodland to the north of the site. All homes will be fitted with air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points to support sustainable living. As part of its contributions to the local area, Harron Homes will provide £134,748 towards primary and secondary school places, helping to support local education facilities as the community grows. A further £82,943 will support transport improvements, including a sustainable travel fund and bus stop improvements, both of which will help to strengthen connections for existing and future residents of the village. There will be additional funding of £76,695 towards creating a public open space on the development. Arrangements will also be made for the long-term management and maintenance of on-site open space and drainage, with biodiversity measures maintained for a minimum of 30 years. Surrounded by rolling Yorkshire countryside, Netherton offers the perks of village life while remaining within easy reach of Huddersfield. A primary school, post office and local pubs provide everyday amenities close to home, while nearby Blackmoorfoot Reservoir offers opportunities for scenic walks. The area takes its name from the nearby Beaumont Park, named after local landowner Henry Frederick Beaumont. He donated land in 1879 for Huddersfield’s first public park, which opened in 1883 and remains a distinctive part of the area’s heritage. James Poynor, Group Managing Director at Harron Homes, said, “We’re delighted to be bringing Beaumont Meadows to Netherton, a village that combines beautiful countryside surroundings with convenient access to Huddersfield. “Alongside high-quality new homes, the development will provide green space and a play area for residents to enjoy, as well as investment in local schools, transport and open space. We look forward to sharing more details and welcoming buyers to this new community.” Beaumont Meadows is located off Roslyn Avenue, Netherton, Huddersfield, HD4 7EW. Further details on the launch will be announced in due course. To find out more or register interest, visit https://www.harronhomes.com/find-a-home/west-yorkshire/beaumont-meadows/.
