Harcourt Gardens Care Home Harrogate will open with 100% double vaccinated staff and safety built in.
Springfield Healthcare have announced that their latest, purpose built care home will open with a team that is 100% double vaccinated against Covid.
Springfield have been in the care business for over 50 years and understand that people have concerns around the safety of homes since the outbreak of Covid. Harcourt Gardens has been built during the pandemic so the team have been able to include lots of features to reassure residents, family and staff that safety is the priority.
As well as opening with a fully jabbed team, Springfield have incorporated clever design into the building to ensure it’s not just a luxurious home but as safe as possible. Harcourt Gardens includes an entrance lobby so that visitors can be tested before entering the building. Larger bedrooms and communal areas combined with wider corridors to make social distancing easier. Dedicated indoor and outdoor visiting suites make for safer contact with loved ones if needed. Garden access from all ground floor rooms allows for plentiful ventilation. Corridor dividers at frequent intervals mean small areas of the home can be isolated, should the need arise.
Jenny Delic, Group Head of HR said “The vaccination programme has been a huge success and is instrumental in getting us back to a normal life. We’re very proud that our newly recruited team are all 100% double vaccinated, a feat we believe is a first for North Yorkshire.
Nigel Allen, Home Manager of Harcourt Gardens said “As well as the fabulous building we’re harnessing cutting edge technology within the home. We will be able to keep you up to date in real time, with details of what your loved ones are doing, and their daily care, even when you can’t get to visit them. Not only that, our digital care plans, a contactless reception and automatic temperature checks will all add another layer of protection.”
