Terry’s Barbers A Wealth Of Experience

Features

Terry’s Barber Shop is conveniently located in the heart of Crossgates. A traditional, yet contemporary, outlet with ample parking shared with their neighbours, Mecca Bingo Hall and Spectacle Supermarket, Terry’s Barber Shop has a large and modern frontage and a welcoming reception.

Terry, formally of Gerald Henri in the Arndale Centre, was born in Leeds 9 and trained 45 years ago as an apprentice hairdresser on Harehills Lane, before being employed in 1970 by Gerald Henri. Bell bottoms, platform shoes and long hair characterised male fashion in the 1970’s and as Prog Rock turned to Disco and male fashion in the 1980’s moved from Punk to the Vinny Jones V cut, Curtains, Undercuts and Rat Tails, Terry has seen it all and to this day keeps up to date with fashions and trends. As highly accomplished barber’s, Terry and his team, can offer a quick trim or a complete re styling for any man young or old.

In 1998 Terry took over Gerald Henri’s, which many of you will remember was based next door to the now Peacocks, and moved, along with his dedicated team Joan and Pamela, in December 2012 to their current property at 125, Crossgates Road. He offers a first class hairdressing service to all men and offers an appointment service Monday and Friday (those without an appointment are also welcome). On Saturday’s haircuts are offered on a first come first served basis.

Terry’s offers haircuts at the salon for all ages and has a wheelchair ramp for ease of access. Dry cuts start at £7.50 and a Wash and Cut from £11. OAP’s are offered a reduced rate of £6.
