NATIONAL TEA DAY – FRIDAY 21ST APRIL

Local News

Friday the 21st April is not only the Queen’s birthday but also National Tea Day which is all about tea, community, and fun! That’s why Guide Dogs are getting behind National Tea Day and encouraging people at home, work or in their community to host a Great Guide Dogs Tea Party and to get dunking the biscuits for them! You could even go all out and throw a Royal tea party to help celebrate the Queen’s 91st birthday.

Every hour, another person in the UK goes blind. When someone loses their sight, Guide Dogs is there to make sure they don’t lose their freedom as well.  Guide Dogs relies on donations and fundraisers to continue their life-changing work. Every pound raised makes a difference to people in the UK living with sight loss!

Like Sue Collis, guide dog owner;

“It’s no understatement to say Toby, my guide dog, has changed my life. I had lost all confidence and didn’t want to leave the house on my own. Taking my daughter to school on the bus was very scary. It made me very sad and isolated. With Toby, I have the freedom and confidence to go out now, which is exhilarating, amazing and makes me so proud to have him by my side working in his harness – he’s my hero!”

You can make a difference to people living with sight loss by ordering your Great Guide Dogs Tea Party today! Go to www.guidedogs.org.uk/teatime or call: 0345 143 0192.

Guide Dogs value you support and thank you for helping them to change lives.
