McDonald’s Bramley Re- Opens Continuing Its Support For Many Community Projects

McDonald’s at Bramley has undergone an extensive transformation during its recent closure for refurbishment. The restaurant now boasts a fresh, contemporary look complete with brand new self-service kiosks offering customers more options for browsing and ordering their meal. Also, brand new to McDonald’s Bramley is table service. Place your order, take your seat and your freshly prepared food will be brought over for you! The staff are excited to welcome customers old and new to the restaurant which is such a big part of the local community.
The 126 members of staff in the company are all employed from within the local vicinity and benefit from good progression opportunities. Several of the managers started out as crew members themselves. Franchisee Saj Shah is proud of the work he and his team do within the area. He told us “I have a passion around investing in the local community. They invest in us so I feel it’s only right that I give back. This is one of the main reasons why I became a franchisee.”
Working closely with Swallow Hill Community College, McDonald’s have opened their doors to the pupils to help in the restaurant as part of the school’s commitment to encouraging the youngsters to be a part of their community. Saj has also visited the school to talk about all aspects of running a franchising business with the students. McDonald’s Bramley are also helping as part sponsors of the weekly basketball sessions at the school for 11-18yr olds delivered by Leeds Force and the Youth Service after they lost local government funding. This encourages young people to stay active and understand that food such as McDonald’s should be eaten as part of a balanced diet, and ties in with the introduction of healthier options on the menu there over the last few years.
In addition to working with Swallow Hill, Saj is involved in many other community projects both large and small including All Together Armley and a CLLD group for Leeds West where he puts his expertise as a local business owner to good use to help others. He is excited for the future of the area and the improvements that can be made through such collaboration.
Saj and all the staff at McDonald’s look forward to seeing you in the smart new restaurant soon welcoming old and new customers!
