Leeds fashion designer and online retailer Victoria Reddington is celebrating the opening of her first store just weeks after showcasing her clothing range at New York Fashion Week.Fashion Pony, which supports and showcases up-and-coming clothing designers from the city has opened its doors at The Broadway Bradford, Yorkshire’s newest shopping centre. The store, which is a pop-up venture open until April 30th, fulfils fashion designer Victoria’s long held ambition to celebrate the emerging talent to be found on her doorstep.
leedsdesignerfashion_two“It provides a platform for young designers, independent labels and fashion students to show their creations and sell their limited edition, hand-crafted fashion ranges,” said Victoria who created fashion label ISAAC AVA together with her business partner Dawn Hunter. The label was the only British fashion brand invited to showcase on the catwalk during New York City Fashion Week.
“I know how tough it is to get noticed in the fashion industry and I want to share my experience to help other talented designers take their first steps to success. Fashion Pony is committed to helping emerging designers and our pop-up shop puts the spotlight exclusively on up and coming designers. Shoppers visiting Fashion Pony at The Broadway Bradford are the first to see and buy the ISAAC AVA brand following its showcase in New York as The Broadway Bradford is currently the only place it can be purchased.
The inspiration behind the name ISAAC AVA is Victoria and Dawn’s children. Isaac being Victoria’s son’s name, and AVA being Dawn’s daughter’s name.
The Fashion Pony store is located opposite Boots and will be open until 30th April.
