Menston Arts Club

Menston Arts Club was founded in 1966 and has grown to a constant membership of 80 individuals with a waiting list which is capped at 25 names.

The members enjoy a weekly evening meeting in Menston with a varied and interesting programme. The topics are broad, covering all aspects of creative activity in a variety of media but mainly centred or complementary to the art of painting. Invited speakers, artists and club members provide talks, discussions, critiques, workshops and demonstrations to share their expertise and give practical advice.

The club holds two exhibitions each year in May and November where members have the opportunity to display and sell their art and craft items. These events are very popular and the club has a strong reputation for producing a high standard and diversity of art work. There are normally about 140 paintings and approximately 30 portfolios with artists selected original works on open display.

As well as the art work there is a craft section and cafe which provides a wonderful selection of home made cakes, lunches and beverages. It is definitely worth a visit.
