−−− BY SELINA / JUNIOR REPORTER −−−

Hello readers and welcome to my article. I can’t believe it’s the time of year to be talking about Advent Calendars again! As always I have tried to find Advent Calendars for every budget and age group to give you some ideas. I hope you find this article helpful! Read on for more…

1 – POKÉMON ADVENT
CALENDARS (£1-£2)

These calendars are perfect for those who want to find something bright and colourful for their little ones, but keep to a budget. Priced at just £1 for the 40g calendar and £2 for the 90g (where the chocolate is chunkier in the last 5 days) with a fun design you really can’t go wrong. The milk chocolate is creamy and tasty. Children will love getting into these every morning during December! You can find these calendars at Alfmix, Matalan, CDS, Tesco and Toys ‘r’ Us.

2 – ALDI MOSER ROTH CHOCOLATE ADVENT CALENDAR (£6.99)

Aldi have created a gorgeous Advent Calendar this year filled with an assortment of milk, dark and white chocolates decorated with woodland patterns. There are six yummy flavours including salted caramel, gingerbread spices and honey, cinnamon & clementine so you don’t get bored with the same piece of chocolate every day. The packaging is stylish too. A pale blue with a snowy forest complete with Robin redbreast makes you excited for Christmas. I think this calendar is best suited for adults as some of the flavours may not be suitable for younger ones, such as ancho chilli!

3 – MAD BEAUTY ADVENT CALENDARS (£17.99-£24.99)

These calendars are a perfect alternative to chocolate, and would suit teen girls and women. With two options for different budgets these calendars are fantastic for the makeup lover in your life, be it your wife, daughter, niece or friend! The doors on the calendar reveal a different mini item of makeup or beauty product each day such as lip gloss, nail polish, files and brushes up until Christmas. Available from www.findmeagift.co.uk

4 – M&S SALTED CARAMEL PYRAMID CALENDAR
(£10)

This calendar is ideal for any lover of caramel, with a delicious mouthful of chocolate filled with salted caramel behind every door. The chocolates are like little golden balls when you open them too which is really Christmassy! The packaging has a different look too, in a green triangle shape like a Christmas tree. What’s not to like?

5 – M&S PADDINGTON BEAR CALENDAR (£2.50)

A lovely traditional Advent Calendar which features an adorable picture of Paddington Bear on the front. This one will be loved by children and adults alike – after all, Paddington is surely everyone’s favourite bear! The chocolate inside is creamy, mild enough for young taste buds with the excellent quality you expect from Marks & Spencer.

6 – HOTEL CHOCOLAT ADVENT CALENDARS
(£12.50-£26)

For those wanting a luxury calendar this Christmas these are the perfect ones to indulge in! Hotel Chocolat offer a calendar for two with two truffles in each day for you and your loved one – great for couples, or they have their traditional calendars in a whole array of flavours featuring white, milk, caramel, supermilk, 70% dark chocolate and 100% Ecuador so there really is a calendar to suit every taste bud. I really like the design of these calendars too, they open up like a book which makes them smaller in size but more sturdy feeling.

I hope you have found this article helpful, thanks for reading and I hope you all
enjoy Advent.
